20051212 来年のことをいうと鬼が笑う
昼休みに５分ほど走ったら足が攣りました。なさけない。
今年も思惑通りには進まず、例年通り〆切が過ぎた原稿に追われて終わりそうです。
ので、来年こそは、と（毎年恒例）。
埼玉考古学会50周年記念シンポジウム『古代武蔵国の須恵器流通と地域社会』に参加申し込みをしました。今から楽しみです。
プログラムを見ると、盛りだくさんの内容ですね。
ここ数年来、ずっと土師器やら須恵器やらの生産と流通から派生する問題を考えていることもあって、とても興味のあるシンポです。
なんて書いていると、コワーいマツ先輩に「関東に来るな、近畿で研究しとけ」と怒られそうですが、お許しを（笑）。
できれば、容器として宮都へ持って来られたであろうあまり見かけない土器のお里がわかったりするとうれしいのですが・・・。
は無理としても、東海産須恵器を接点として宮都との併行関係を知りたいですね。
ぼちぼち、東海以東で飛鳥編年とか陶邑編年当てはめるのはやめて欲しいし。
土器を研究の対象にしている、というと、「そんなこといつまでもやってないで、歴史を語れ」とか「土器屋は歴史研究をしていない」などといわれるのですが、どう見たって、そりゃ違うだろ、っていう工人系統の須恵器に年代当てはめてそれに史料に記録された事件を関連つけて地域の歴史をひねり出すような研究で生み出されたものが「歴史」なんですかね。でもそれって地域の歴史やそこで生きた先人達を馬鹿にしてません？
そもそも、特定地域の資料で日本列島全体の説明ができるのなら、あなたが今やっている仕事って何？何でその地域の研究をする必要があるの？？
ぜえぜえ（きばりすぎ）。
ちょっと前に言われたもので、少しばかり腹を立ててます。

懇親会で、手ぐすね引いて待ってます（笑）。
いまやすっかり定番となった土器研方式で、
地元の須恵器を並べるらしいので、
しかるべき人にコメントもらうといいですよ。
今回の埼玉シンポは、
マツ・マツのピンク本に触発されて始まり（とのことです）、
だいぶ前から地道に各地を皆さんでまわってデータ収集して、
ようやく形になったものです。
埼玉東部の土器見では、千葉のがでるかもと
私たちも参加させてもらいました。
準備会が次第に盛り上がってきている様子が
漏れ伝わってきてますよ。
都の人が来ると、高い確率でコメントを求められるでしょうから、
誰から当てられると思っておいてくださいな。

やっぱり関東にいくとマツさんに廊下で切られるのでしょうか。
よく考えると吉良さんって損してませんか？
松の廊下で切りつけられて、浪士に切られて・・・。
マツ・マツのピンク本、金物の方は馬鹿なんでようわかりませんが（＜おい）、土器は力作ですよね。消費地でおこなわれるべき仕事はかくありたいです。
須恵器は消費地だけでは研究できないんですよ。
もちろん、生産地と消費地、それぞれ強みと弱さを持っている訳で、それを見極めた研究をしたいですね。
ことあるごとに言っていますが、共同で研究しなければ、絶対研究は進まないと思います。
という訳で、宮都にはどんどん来てくださいませ。皆様。

土器の編年を徹底的にやる全国レベルの研究集会が、定期的に開かれたら奈良・平安時代の土器研究も面白くなるのになあ。
新鮮な歴史を作りあげたかったら、いろいろな編年を詳細に検討するのが、きっと盛り上がっていいよね。分類を武器とする考古学は、歴史学より博物学に親近性が強いと思うので、物を論じていった方がわくわくできると思っています。

もちろん、山田邦和先生の研究が前にありますし、尾野善裕さんの猿投窯の研究でも須恵器の地域性のあり方が明確化してきたと思うのですが、まだ生産地と消費地の差といいますか、得意なところと苦手なところを意識した研究がまだこれからなのかな、と思うのです。
奈文研の土器編年もその歴史的な変遷を無視してどの段階のものをつかっているのか、ということが研究者によってバラバラなので、整理の必要を感じています。
ただ、なんとも残念なのは、やはり西弘海さんにあってみたかったなあ、ということ。私は研究では孫弟子？の世代になりますので、方法等については親の世代の先輩方からのまた聞きなのでどうも歯痒い・・・。
まあ、ある意味冷静に見れるかもしれませんので、その立場を有効に使いたいとは思います。
あ、西さんとは年齢は20歳差位ですね・・・一緒に発掘したり、説教喰らってみたかったな。
・・・と、脱線。
できれば、隣接地域での比較を進めて、本当の意味での「広域編年網」というものを、ある程度までは共有できればいいな、と思っています。
